Deep Relaxation & Whole-Body Balance Through the Feet
I offer Reflexology Foot Massage as a deeply restorative treatment designed to support relaxation, balance and overall wellbeing. This gentle yet powerful therapy is based on the principle that different areas of the feet correspond to systems throughout the body, allowing me to work holistically to support both physical and emotional balance.
Reflexology is ideal if you’re feeling stressed, run down, or simply in need of grounding and deep relaxation.
Restore Balance Through Targeted Pressure
During a Reflexology session, I apply precise pressure to specific reflex points on the feet that are believed to connect with different organs and systems in the body.
This treatment may help to:
- Reduce stress and tension
- Support relaxation and emotional balance
- Improve circulation
- Encourage better sleep
- Support the body’s natural recovery processes
- Promote a deep sense of calm and grounding
Every treatment is adapted to your comfort level, ensuring a soothing experience that feels both gentle and effective.
A Deeply Relaxing Full-Body Experience
Although the treatment focuses on the feet, Reflexology takes a holistic approach to relaxation and wellbeing. Many clients find that tension begins to release not just physically, but mentally as well, creating a calm and balanced state that lasts long after the treatment.
This makes it an ideal choice if you’re looking for a treatment that supports both relaxation and overall wellbeing without full-body massage.
If its a full body massage you are fancying then look at Swedish Massage which is a medium pressure or Deep Tissue massage for a firmer deeper pressure.

Reflexology Foot Massage FAQs
What is the difference between Reflexology and a normal foot massage?
A traditional foot massage primarily focuses on relaxing and working the muscles and soft tissues of the feet. Reflexology uses targeted pressure on specific areas of the feet known as reflex points.
Reflexology is based on the traditional principle that these points correspond with different areas of the body. Many people choose the treatment primarily for relaxation, stress reduction and a greater sense of overall wellbeing.
Does Reflexology hurt?
Reflexology is generally a gentle and relaxing treatment. Some areas of the feet may feel more sensitive than others when pressure is applied, but the treatment should not feel unbearably painful.
Pressure can always be adjusted, so please tell me if an area feels uncomfortable or you would prefer a lighter touch.
Is Reflexology ticklish?
This is a common concern, especially if you have particularly ticklish feet. Reflexology uses deliberate, controlled pressure rather than the very light touch that tends to cause a tickling sensation.
If you are ticklish, let me know before your treatment and I can adapt my technique accordingly.
Do I need to undress for Reflexology?
No. One of the advantages of Reflexology is that you can enjoy a relaxing treatment without undressing for a full body massage.
You will simply need to remove your shoes and socks so I can comfortably work on your feet. Wearing comfortable, loose fitting clothing can help you relax during your appointment.
Is Reflexology suitable if I don’t like full body massage?
Yes. Reflexology can be an excellent alternative if you want to experience a relaxing hands on treatment but do not want a traditional full body massage.
Because the treatment concentrates on your feet, you can remain clothed while enjoying dedicated time to switch off and relax.
Can I have Reflexology if I spend all day on my feet?
Yes, provided you do not have an injury or condition that makes treatment unsuitable. People who spend long periods standing, walking or working on their feet may particularly enjoy having an hour dedicated to relaxation and foot focused care.
Please mention any pain, injuries, swelling or foot conditions before your treatment begins.
Can I have Reflexology if my feet are sensitive?
Having sensitive feet does not necessarily mean you cannot enjoy Reflexology. Every treatment can be adapted to your individual comfort level, including the amount of pressure used.
If there are particular areas you do not want touched, simply let me know.
Can I have Reflexology if I have a foot condition?
It depends on the condition. Certain foot problems, including infections, open wounds, significant inflammation or recent injuries, may mean your treatment needs to be postponed or adapted.
If you are unsure, contact me before booking and let me know about the condition. Where appropriate, you may be advised to seek guidance from a healthcare professional first.
Can I have Reflexology during pregnancy?
Pregnancy does not automatically mean Reflexology is unsuitable, but it is important to tell me that you are pregnant before booking.
Your stage of pregnancy, general health and any pregnancy related complications need to be considered. If there are any concerns about whether Reflexology is appropriate for you, I may recommend speaking with your midwife, GP or another appropriate healthcare professional first.
What does Reflexology feel like?
Most people experience a combination of gentle pressure, firmer pressure on particular points and relaxing movements across the feet.
Everyone experiences Reflexology differently. Some people become deeply relaxed or sleepy during their appointment, while others simply enjoy having an hour where they can switch off from everyday life.
What should I do before a Reflexology appointment?
There is very little preparation required. Arrive wearing comfortable clothing and make sure I am aware of any relevant medical conditions, injuries or concerns before your treatment.
There is no need to have a pedicure or worry about how your feet look. This is a professional treatment and you are here to relax.
Do I need to talk during my Reflexology treatment?
Not at all. Some clients enjoy chatting while others prefer to close their eyes, relax and enjoy the quiet.
Once we have discussed your treatment and anything I need to know, you are welcome to switch off completely. There is never any pressure to make conversation.
Can Reflexology diagnose health problems through my feet?
No. Reflexology should not be used to diagnose a medical condition and it is not a replacement for medical assessment or treatment.
Reflexology is based on a traditional system of reflex points on the feet that are believed to correspond with different areas of the body. At Phoenix Massage, I offer Reflexology as a complementary wellbeing treatment focused on relaxation and your overall treatment experience.
How will I feel after Reflexology?
Everyone responds differently. Many people report feeling calm, relaxed or sleepy after their treatment, while others simply feel refreshed after having dedicated time to themselves.
If possible, give yourself some time after your appointment to enjoy that relaxed feeling rather than immediately rushing back into a busy schedule.
How often should I book Reflexology?
There is no set frequency that is right for everyone. You may choose Reflexology as an occasional treatment when you need time to relax, or make it part of your regular wellbeing routine.
How often you book is ultimately a personal choice based on how you feel, your lifestyle and what you enjoy getting from your sessions.
